Nanotechnology-based waterless car wash is an innovative car care method that minimizes or completely eliminates the use of water in car cleaning. The process is environmentally friendly, fast, and efficient, and unlike most machine or hand washes, it doesn’t scratch the paint. Below, we briefly explain how it works:
Application of nanotechnology: The essence of nanotechnology is the use of extremely small particles, called nanoparticles, in materials and processes. In waterless car washing, these nanoparticles are found in special car cleaning products.
Application to the surface The nanotechnology-based waterless car wash product is used in a spray bottle or spray form. When the product is applied to the surface, the nanoparticles spread over the dirt. The cleaner surrounds and traps all the grime, which is gently removed using a microfiber cloth. These fibers are fine and do not scratch the car’s surface.
Microscopic cleaning The size of the nanoparticles is microscopic, allowing them to effectively penetrate the dirt. These nanoparticles bind to the contaminants and lift them off the surface.
Surface protection Nanotechnology-based car cleaning products contain substances that create a thin protective layer on the car’s surface. This layer has water-repellent properties, making it harder for water droplets and contaminants to adhere to the surface. It also protects the paint from UV rays and the effects of weather.
No need for much water: The essence of waterless car washing is that it doesn’t require large amounts of water for cleaning. The products effectively clean and protect the car without using several liters of water. A traditional high-pressure washer typically uses 60 liters, while a traditional car wash tunnel uses about 160 liters of water to wash a car. The nanotechnology-based wash uses a maximum of 3-5 deciliters of added water per wash.
